About us

Our story

Disability Sports Northern Territory (DSNT) was established in October 2019, thanks to the Sport Service Provider Grant Funding from the Northern Territory Government, as a key business unit of Disability Sports Australia.

Promoting sport and active recreation, Disability Sports Northern Territory aims to connect Territorians with disabilities to local active adaptive opportunities through programs like the National Referral Hub and Activate Inclusion Sports Days. We work closely with the NT Peak Sporting Bodies and Community Sports Officers to facilitate more accessible pathways and programs across the Territory.

Disability Sports Northern Territory helps Territorians with disability be more active more often.

National Organisation

Disability Sports Australia

Disability Sports Australia is Australia’s peak national body representing athletes living with disability. Formerly known as Australian Athletes with a Disability, it changed its name to Disability Sports Australia during 2013. The change reflects a contemporary evolution and vital work achieved in engaging people across Australia from the grass roots to elite Paralympians who compete or work in sporting endeavours of all abilities. Disability Sports Northern Territory is a business unit of DSA funded by the Northern Territory Government.
