Wheelchair Footy with the Gold Coast Suns

Last week, Disability Sports NT and AFL NT delivered a free Come ‘N’ Try session of Wheelchair Footy. With the GC Suns in the Topend it was perfect timing to have some superstars join in the fun and help promote the sport. They even gave away polo tops and tickets for their next game at TIO Stadium. We had a great turn out of people from the community and professional networks interested in this new opportunity. Everyone was well spirited and came with their best attitude to give it a go and learn as a group. We hope the session sparked some interest in the sport. There will be a few more sessions in the lead up to a proper season/program later in the year.
