Disability Sports NT Receives 2025 Community Grant from Power and Water Corporation

Disability Sports NT is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of ten recipients of the Power and Water Corporation’s 2025 Community Grants Program.

This valued support will directly fund the delivery of our Abilities Unleashed events across the Northern Territory—an initiative designed to provide inclusive physical activity experiences and social opportunities for school-aged students with disability.

Through this program, we aim to foster participation, connection, and enjoyment in safe, accessible environments.

The partnership between Disability Sports NT and Power and Water reflects a shared commitment to creating communities where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

With the support of this grant, we will be able to reach more schools and community groups, break down barriers to inclusion, and enhance access to sport for young people with disability.

“We are deeply grateful to Power and Water for their ongoing investment in the wellbeing of Territorians,” said a spokesperson for Disability Sports NT. “This funding will support us in our mission to improve opportunities for people with disability to be involved in sport in the way they choose.”

Disability Sports NT extends sincere thanks to Power and Water for their contribution and dedication to inclusive community development.

Together, we aim to create spaces where everyone feels included. This grant is a big step toward that goal.
